Harrison Ford isn’t talking Episode VII yet – but he has plenty of praise for director J.J. Abrams, who he worked with in 1991′s Regarding Henry.
“I think he’s fantastic,” Ford said in a recent interview. “I did his first movie, ‘Regarding Henry,’ with Mike Nichols. A wonderful talent. Extraordinary guy.”
He also played coy on playing Han Solo again, sort of: “Um, I don’t even want to discuss that. It’s great. Ain’t it great?”
And just like that… In a fairly fascinating Bloomberg story on the Disney takeover of Lucasfilm, George Lucas pretty much admits that Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are returning for Episode VII. Of course, he could be joking.
Carrie Fisher says she’s coming back as Princess Leia for Episode VII. Though Lucasfilm hasn’t confirmed anything, with Mark Hamill admitting talks and Harrison Ford reportedly in negotiations, chances are good we’ll see the original Star Wars stars show up in the new films.
Mark Hamill: “They’re talking to us” about Episode VII. It’s been reported that Harrison Ford was in talks, but Hamill confirms that they’re talking to the others as well. He also says that they won’t be recasting the parts if the actors don’t want to return - and thank George for that!
Report: Harrison Ford will return as Han Solo for Star Wars: Episode VII. Not confirmed, obviously, but I’d say this is still pretty likely.
