Star Wars helmets as African style masks by Alex Griendling.
X-Wing Pilot sketch. #eccc
Turn that into a print and I’d buy it.
Mickey the Conjurer and Vader’s Helmet by Gris Grimly
Done in watercolor, ink, and quite possibly some dark magicks, Gris created these two pieces for ACME Archives, which upon approval could soon become limited edition prints, but it really begs the question: who would win in a fight, Fantasia Mickey or Darth Vader? Assume all special abilities and Force Powers allowed, along with weapons like Light Sabers and Sentient Broomsticks. Ready GO.

Fan Art of the Day: Star Wars Retold Through Famous Artworks
Since 2011, photographer David Eger has been working with Star Wars figurines to recreate iconic and familiar imageries from movie posters and album covers, as well as historical artworks like paintings and photographs. His first series 365 Days of Clones was a daily project, followed by the weekly 52 Weeks of Star Wars. This year, he is aiming for quality over quantity with 12 Months of Hope, Empire and Jedi. Hat tip to Wired!
Image Description: Based on The Calling of Saint Matthew (shown bottom left), painted by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio in 1599.

Latest Painting - ‘Whoever Rescues Me Has To Rescue Chew, Too.’
The original, signed and framed painting is up on the eBays right now for a 3 day listing ending on Saturday starting at one, magnificent dollar - Here she is!
This is the first in a series of Penny / Leia portraits - So much fun to paint, ‘The Rescuers’ has always been one of my favorite Disney movies. I had the LP as a kid and played it so much that the grooves wore down and you could hear the audio on the next rotation before it actually got there - the dialog and music are forever weaved into my inner child’s dungarees :) x
LOVE!!!
