Club Jade — A few months ago I was talking to a friend who’s a teacher; her students are young enough that they watch TCW without having seen any of the movies. Meanwhile, I’m the opposite, so it was funny when she told me that (for example) most of them didn’t know Anakin is going to fall. Also, they dislike Yoda, whereas most fans I know my age love him from TESB/ROTJ. I think it’s awesome that Star Wars is large enough to have all these different entry points into canon!

I think my favorite tale of Clone Wars-watching kids discovering the movies comes from Hitfix’s Drew McWeeny. His two sons had seen the cartoon but not the movies, and their reactions to Anakin’s fall are really heartbreaking.

Here they are, in order: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones, Revenge Of The Sith and Return of the Jedi. (I love his ordering, too! Anything that preserves the ESB reveal is fine by me.)

A great series of posts, a must-read for any Star Wars fan, I think. Though, I should note, his kids love Yoda. - Dunc
